ABOut me

I have over 20 years experience as a professional photographer in France in the UK. I started as a permanent photo journalist for Le Télégramme de Brest, one of the most important regional newspapers covering news for them in Paris. At the same time I covered economic and social events selling my pictures to La Vie Financière, and with assignments for the monthly economic magazine la Tribune, taking portraits of economic leaders of the french companies registered on « La Bourse »(French stock exchange).

Meanwhile I also worked for ICI France covering events such as receptions in Château de Versailles for instance.

Then I was hired by Publishing houses like Presse de la cité, Groupe de la cité(now part of Vivendi Group).

I also realised studio photographs for the marketing department of the publishers Pocket, Fleuve noir and 10-18. I then branched into taking portraits of writers, like Wilbur Smith, Frederic Dard, Harlan Coben, Nicci French and many others on assignment or as a freelance photographer. In 1997 my portaits of writers expanded to include the Robert Laffont, with my work being reproduced on their dust jackets.

From 1993 to 1998, I worked for the Marketing department of Relais H (now Relay), a group of 900 stationery shops in France, taking pictures of the shops in train and metro stations in Paris and through France. Additionally I worked for two professional computer magazines (01 Informatique, and 01 Reseaux) and for various advertising agencies such as Euro RSCG for Peugeot and Saatchi-Saatchi for Pechiney, 3 Ailes, and Divali among others.

My photographic assignments in 2005 included the promotion of American writer Harlan Coben. My pictures have been displayed in all the main news-agents in the Parisian Metro and French railway stations.

Currently my portraits of writers and intellectuals are sold directly to publishing houses. They appreciate the realism of my work which they publish on their books and in the press.

From 2001 in collaboration with the publishing house Presses Universitaires de France, I switched to Digital photography. I use Nikon equipment and Apple Computers, and software such as Aperture and Photoshop to provide my customers with what I believe to be a superior product.

Two years ago, I moved to Scotland and settled down in Glasgow. I started working for different  press agencies like WRITER PICTURES in the United Kingdom and MAXPPP in France.
